More commuting woes...

Come on now dude... REALLY?  You get onto a bus with nothing but a twenty dollar bill in your wallet?! REALLY?

What the hell?! (public transportation)

Ok people... Really, come on now...

So, I was riding the Fairfax Connector bus this morning in VA (and this is not a problem that only occurs on this bus line) and sat in the only available seat. Turns out that the guy next to me stank. Not horribly, but enough to be noticeable and disgusting after 5 minutes (which was unfortunate as the ride was ~25min long).  So my question is, how do you not notice that you stink?  Please, if you are going to ride public transportation in close quarters (you know how small those bus seats are) have some common courtesy and bathe first! I mean really!

On the second leg of my journey this morning I was riding the Metro into DC and I was sitting in about the 3rd row or so, and noticed that there was a young roach of some sort crawling around on the shoulder of the man in front of me in the second row. Again, come on now... leave your creepy crawlies at home man! Better yet, get rid of them all together, but if you cannot then just leave them at home.  I don't need one crawling off of you and onto me.  It took him about 20 minutes to realize that this thing was crawling all over him. And I think that he only noticed because it crawled down his arm and onto his newspaper.

As you can imagine I was very grossed out this morning.

The moral of this rant... People you really need to improve your gosh darn hygiene!  YUCK!

As Peter Griffin would say... "You know what really grinds my gears?"!

Ok, first rant to start off the blog...

It REALLY annoys me when the people that design the roadways place on and off ramps less than .25 miles apart. So that while I am trying to get onto a highway, there are other people trying to get off at the exact same place.  In theory this might make sense to someone, until they try to merge in this situation at 55+ mph (and when I say 55+ I mean the oncoming traffic, us trying to merge and those trying to get off on the ramp in front of us).

Come on now!  Use some damn common sense people!!!  Geez!
